Early Life

Bill Gates was born on 28th October 1955 in Seattle, Washington, USA. He went to Lakeside School of Seattle, Washington, USA, and was a very clever student of his school.

In 1969, he started pursuing his high school education. Once he met Paul Allen in his Computer class and became good friends. In 1970, they both made a computer program - Traf-O-Data for which they got 20,000 Dollars. In this way, Bill Gates entered the world of technology.

Bill Gates thought to start his own company in the year 1972 with Mr. Allen, but his parents asked him to complete his school studies and go to college. He completed his high school studies in 1973. His parents wanted him to study the law, but his dream was going in a different direction. Sometimes Life does not give us what we want, but it gives us what is better for us.

Twist in Life

Sometimes life brings twists, which lead to success. Mr. Allen found a magazine name Electronic Popular in the year 1974 which mentioned the announcement of the first minicomputer kit Altair 8800 on its first page. Mr. Allen explained this to Bill Gates. They both were very happy to know this because they knew that if this computer is made then every person in the world would be able to use it and make their work easy. The Altair 8800 was made in New Mexico by Ed Roberts Company.

Henry Edward Roberts who was running this company was looking for a person who can make software for his computer. Here Bill Gates and Mr. Allen found hope and had contact with the company and announced that they are working on a basic software program that will run the Altair 8800 company. They both worked hard for 2 months and made software. In February 1975, Mr. Allen went to test the software. The software was working properly after its installation in the computer. It was the best moment of their life.

Pioneering Computer Revolution

The computer was not much familiar to everyone initially, and some people did not have a personal computer with them. Bill Gates and other students were given a computer at home from his Lakeside School to learn more about it, which increased his interest in the computer.

He was more interested to know how the computer works. He made a Tic Tac Toe gaming program. They both made a program which was keeping an eye on the traffic pattern. Bill Gates and Paul Allen had a dream of putting a computer on every desk of every home and they achieved it. Today, it has become very difficult to imagine a working life without a personal computer.

Founded Microsoft Company

On 4th April 1975, they both founded the Microsoft Company and started working with the Ed Roberts Company. Gradually, consumption increased and Bill Gates left his studies before the final year. He got the fruit of his efforts. Their efforts and skills not only lay in making the software, but also in escalating the business and the company to the top of success. His efforts raised the company on the pavement of progress. The company launched the software in different languages and started selling it to different companies.

Reaching Heights of Success

Great Enthusiasm and Will Power Brings Success. From 1978 to 1981 the company achieved the heights of success. In November 1980, Microsoft company got a great opportunity from IBM company, which placed an offer to make software for its new personal computer, and they both made MS-DOS software for the IBM company. In mid of 1981, Bill Gates became the president of Microsoft company and Paul Allen became Executive Vice President of the company. By 1983, the turnover of Microsoft Company increased.

The demand for their software was going on increasing rapidly. In 1986, Bill Gates launched Microsoft Windows in the market. He became the richest person at a very less age. Bill Gates updated Microsoft company even after facing many crises and launched a new window 3.0 in 1990, and also reduced the price of Microsoft products. In 1995, Bill Gates launched Microsoft Windows 95. At the age of 42 only, he had an asset of 50 Billion Dollars. Bill Gates is a most generous person who runs an NGO - The Bill and Malinda Gates Foundation which shows his generosity.

The efforts of Bill Gates made him so successful that he was listed among the richest people in America. He was the youngest self-made Billionaire in the world to be recognized by the magazine.

Bill Gates was named the richest man in the world only at the age of 39 by Forbes. His efforts associated with Microsoft Company not only made him the richest person but also took the company to the heights of success. It grew consistently and is still growing. It is bringing prosperity to the life of Bill Gates a hundredfold and will continue to do so always.
